Aloe Vera Fields
 
    Field Preparation:     

 * Fields are laser-leveled to increase efficiency of irrigation.
 * Global Positioning Satellite used in placement of aloe vera plants to maximize land use.
 * Alfalfa is used between growing cycles to rejuvenate and mineralize the soil.

    Aloe Farm - Imperial Valley, California:     

 * 160 acres of aloe vera planted, over 600,000 plants
 * Approximately 12,800 pounds of aloe vera leaf will be produced annually
 * 450 more acres (in escrow) scheduled to begin planting Oct. 2003, producing an approximate 36,000,000 pounds yearly.
 * California planting season runs from Oct. 1 - Apr. 30

 * 600 more acres scheduled to begin planting Oct. 2003
 * We have fields in two states to insure our growing supply

 * Visual inspection
 * Aloe leaves washed
 * Tip and end portions of leaves are trimmed away
 * Manual hand filleting (see picture above) to insure highest quality of aloe gel
